Oh MOS burger. You are what dreams are made of. I wish I could shrink down to the size of a burger patty and snuggle up inside the warm moist insides of a Seafood Kakiage Rice Burger… Uhhh what now? Oh right. I’m supposed to be blogging here.
As many of you know, I have an unhealthy fascination with MOS Burger which started off by accident during a trip to Singapore. I’d like to get all romantic and tell you a longwinded story about how we discovered MOS but it all happened due to the fact that Maccas was full, I was kinda thirsty and MOS was air-conditioned. The rest is history. Regrettably, there is no MOS burger outlet in Perth (yet) however if I time it right, I could get my mouth on one of their delicious mouth treats after jumping on a 5 hour flight to Brisbane. Well, now I won’t have to wait till the plane lands as MOS is available in-flight!
Japan Airlines and MOS Burger, a well-known hamburger chain established in 1972 in Japan, will collaborate for the third time in the eighth installment of JAL’s popular AIR Series in-flight meal service. Following the successful introduction of AIR MOS Burger (Teriyaki) and AIR MOS Rice Burger in the past, JAL and MOS BURGER have designed a JAL Original version of the AIR MOS Teriyaki Egg Burger that will be served onboard select routes from March 1 to May 31, 2013.
As a child I had always wanted to fly JAL. I blame my Japanese neighbours who would always boast about how great flying their home country carrier was. But alas in all my years travelling, I am yet to find myself onboard this magnificent flying castle. After finding out the same carrier that offers the “JAL Suite”, their First Class woodgrained sleeping compartments with Tempurpedic flat beds and 23 inch displays now offers my favourite fast food, I’m determined to do whatever I can to get myself a ticket (as long as it doesn’t take any effort).
I only have till the end of next month to be able to experience MOS mouth pleasure whilst travelling high over the globe at 1000km/h so if any of you have any JAL hook-ups, drop me a line.
So, are there any fast food outlets you’d like to see on your next flight? Or am I just weird?
